I, as a Buddhist have spent much time applying mental quietness
and strategy to calm my mind and live life with a spiritual might. I have found
that the spiritual life we have inside of us can lift us into a place of
happiness and joy.
When listening to this week’s assignment, I found it very
easy to put myself in the place of quiet and enlightenment. Learning to share
this joy with others comes naturally to me. I am a super friendly person who
loves to share how I feel about things. I have taught my children how to use
these exercises to pass on to their friends it has built a home of happiness.
The use of the lesson has helped to solidify my feelings and it has refreshed
what I have been practicing for over two decades.
I was always taught that meditation and spiritual being will
keep me healthy and bring me happiness.
When I was 17 I had my first child. I was with my mother
raising him, and one day my friend invited me to go on a double blind date. At
the time I was very spiritual and followed my mother’s footsteps in Buddhism. I
was very connected in my mind. It was a challenge to raise a child and graduate
High School with honors, but I was determined.
The blind date we were going on decided to cancel. I was discouraged at
the prospect of this. Then my girlfriend told me that there was a different guy
that would come. He was in the Navy. I had no such hope for this, but when I
met him, I was instantly connected, and then I found out he was a Buddhist as
well. What are the chances? We have been married for 12 years and have 4
beautiful sons.
Inner happiness reflects outer happiness and attract the
like.
